Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston was forced to place Angelica Hale in ECMO Life-Support after she desperately needed life-saving medical intervention. She became septic, had kidney failure and organ failure that did not recover. Her new normal was the peritoneal, and later the hemodialysis. After 80 straight days in the hospital, from near-death to long road to recovery, she finally returned home, but her life was forever changed. Angelica underwent dialysis treatment for over a decade half of that time before she was able to undergo an organ transplant. Her mom would be the organ donor. Angelica and her mother had the surgery to remove their kidneys successfully on September 13, 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals that are located next to one. Angelica Hale is pursuing her stardom dreams ever since.
